About the Role

The Extrusion Manufacturing Technician plays a key role in daily manufacturing operations at Quantum AEP.

This position is responsible for operating extrusion lines, monitoring process conditions, handling materials, and supporting consistent production of high-performance polymer stock shapes.

This is a hands-on manufacturing role suited for individuals who value precision, responsibility, discipline, and continuous learning in a modern manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate extrusion equipment and follow established production procedures
  • Monitor machine parameters including temperature, pressure, speed, cooling, and dimensional stability
  • Load raw materials and support material preparation activities
  • Inspect products during production to ensure quality and dimensional consistency
  • Record production data, process parameters, and operational observations accurately
  • Assist with extrusion line startups, changeovers, shutdowns, and cleaning procedures
  • Identify production issues and communicate concerns to supervisors or engineering teams
  • Support troubleshooting activities and process adjustments as directed
  • Maintain organized work areas and follow safety and housekeeping standards
  • Work closely with production, quality, and maintenance teams to support efficient operations

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to work in a manufacturing environment

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and safely handle production materials

Nice to have

  • Experience operating extrusion, manufacturing, or industrial processing equipment
  • Experience in plastics, polymer processing, machining, or related manufacturing industries
  • Familiarity with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, or gauges
  • Basic understanding of machine parameters and process troubleshooting
  • Experience working in a structured manufacturing or quality-controlled environment
  • Comfort working with Industry 4.0 manufacturing systems and digital production tools
  • Forklift or material handling experience (if applicable)
